Re|treat
A Re|treat To Build Greater Confidence In Your Power Of Slow
In a historic farmhouse in the middle of a vineyard with a view of a lake and mountains in South Tyrol, 7th –11th of May 2026
I love bringing together people to inspire each other and connecting like-minded souls for talking, thinking, and transformation. For the past 10 years, I did this for a cohort of photographers, connecting passionate amateur photographers with professional photographers/instructors at a historic winery in northern Italy to dig deeper into imaging creativity and the art of seeing.
Now I am turning my attention to transferring my experience and enthusiasm for gathering inspirational and seeking minds to those who want to tap into their power of slow in a beautiful place. Imagine being in the middle of vineyards with a view of a lake and the Dolomite mountains while building up your confidence to counteract the hurry culture and find your own personal rhythm. Here it is.
Building confidence
This Re|treat is not about how to slow down. There are a lot of great action steps out there on how to slow down, reduce stress, and create a slower lifestyle. These are all valuable initiatives from the outside that you can add as layers over time once you understand your inner self and why you crave returning to normal rhythms. And, you only crave what is natural and normal, by the way. The you-must-go-faster conditioning of our society became widely accepted as the new normal. It’s not.
This gathering is about learning that the power of slow lies in reclaiming your life’s pace and purpose. Choosing slowness is a lifestyle choice. It’s being self-confident in what you believe in and standing up for it. Building the courage to express one’s inner world to the outside world, rather than allowing oneself to be shaped by common speed-addicted expectations, opinions, or social pressure, only because we have come to accept a loud, hustle-driven, and overwhelming world.
For the curious and unconventional ones
Designed for curious and unconventional thinkers, this intimate group setting builds your confidence in pursuing the power of slow, knowing it is the smarter way to move forward in a rushing world that worships speed and busyness over depth and quality. Because your personality is the source of your individual potential. And through authenticity, you channel your potential for pursuing your own rhythm. By now, we have come to understand that slowing down, thoughtfulness, and awareness are misunderstood and underrated in today’s world.
Calm down, Go up, Find balance
The days are structured around the idea of arriving, calming down, going up, and finding balance. There will be time for good views and vibes. We go up the mountain, where you experience being coached while hiking (with Hiking Coach Markus). You will experience the basic principles of coaching but your perspectives become more flexible with movement. Walking in the mountains opens your heart and you recognize with more ease what is “essential”. You find “your” things while walking.
We have sessions on disconnect to reconnect through nature and on learning about yourself, self-awareness, becoming aware of your values, and on confidence building. We indulge in (and practice) being with yourself, which is for many not easy but so essential for building your confidence. We have coversations and exchange our thoughts and ideas and perspectives on the power of slow in an ever-accelerating world. You have time to pause and reflect.
