Use Your Phone Camera As A God-Given Tool To Slow Down And Get Smarter
You can improve your life skills instead of social platform skills
We are looking for ways that help us to slow down in our speed-driven world on steroids.
I can give you one great tip that seems obvious, but then again, not, as I have talked about this with people and many said they hadn’t thought about their smartphone camera as being a tool for slowing down.
It is in fact a simple tool at your fingertips, and you can make use of it daily. It helps you to slow down, to see and recognize things, and to become smarter.
Let’s go.
A phone is not a phone anymore. I mean, com'on, who is using their phone to make telephone calls these days? Although I have to say, my neighbor’s boy is permanently attached to his phone—that is, the earbuds are, while the phone stays invisible in the pocket. When you meet him face-to-face, he seems too shy to have a conversation. But he talks non-stop on the phone.
Except for this exception, we have a camera with a shiny surface full of mobile apps in our pockets, and, if necessary, that thing can also be used as a phone.
Let’s focus on the camera. Here is your convenient, always-at-your-fingertips device and how it helps you to slow down and learn more about the world.
We will look at:
What you get out of life and work when you move around with more attention as if you would want to take pictures
Intelligent and helpful insights from great photographers about improving your life
Why noticing things helps to ditch negativity
Why input is more important than output
The balance between the big picture and the details
Simple everyday practices
