I think this type of impatience and rage are distinctly North American. When I lived in the Caribbean, horn honking was an entirely different language. It is used as a style of communication, like a wave to a neighbor. There's SO much honking going on yet none of it would get you killed 😂

I notice that Mexico too. The cabbies honk to warn pedestrians it isn’t safe to cross yet, to say hi to their buddies, to encourage party animals to give a 5 beer salute, to get your attention if they aren’t busy, and any other reason they come up with in the spur of the moment. But it’s all good natured.

The further south you get in Europe, the honking is more like a communication, you go north and it's more about uptight busyness ...

Huh. So North = uptight and worried on both sides of the globe. Must be the cold?

actually, with the "cold" is not too far off. That certainly plays into it...Look at behavior and mentality in "warmer" countries around the globe....

Impatience is a curse! Practicing acceptance is an antidote.

True. I think "acceptance" is for many people (at least in western cultures) not an easy practice... Though, it is certainly such a helpful way to make things easier on oneself and on others.

Great message. If only we could beam it into every brain!

This is why I love breathwork. I used to be more in a rush when I got stuck behind some slowpoke loser. Now I just start breathing deep and low, turn on some good tunes, and wait.

THAT would be fabulous - beaming it into everyones brain!

Good idea with the breathing. I try to remind myself in those situations: what exactly is the point of me getting upset about this now? It doesn't change the situation and I only feel bad

I’m building a Brain Beamer in my spare time. Work in progress.
